Dieter Hertz-Eichenrode
Dieter Hertz-Eichenrode (* 1932 ) is a German historian and university professor .
Life
Dieter Hertz-Eichenrode studied philosophy and published his widely acclaimed dissertation on the Young Hegelian Bruno Bauer in 1959 . After completing his dissertation, he was assistant and employee of Gerhard Schulz at the Free University of Berlin until he switched from Schulz . He then became a professor at the Central Institute for Social Science Research at the Free University of Berlin and retired in 1997 .
In honor of Gordon A. Craig's doctorate at the Free University of Berlin , he gave a speech on December 3, 1983, as acting spokesperson for the Department of History. He was the author of numerous publications and reviewers, e.g. B. in the habilitation thesis of Thomas Welskopp .
In 2000 he wrote the club history of the Berlin football club Stern 1900 .
In 2012, Reimer Hansen dedicated a contribution to Agathe Lasch's life and work in the mirror of recent publications for his birthday (In: Yearbook for the History of Central and Eastern Germany , Volume 58, Issue 1, pp. 153 ff.).
He was married and has been a widower since 2018. He is on the board of the Friedrich Meinecke Society.
