Rastelli has been taking part in the cross-country Alpine Cup since 2011 . In February 2014 he clinched his first classic cup win in Campra over 3.3 km. He ran his first World Cup race in February 2013 in Davos , which he finished in 33rd place in the sprint. In March 2014 in Drammen he achieved his first podium in the cross-country world cup with third place in the sprint . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , he finished 15th in the sprint. In September 2015 he won the gold medal in the 10 km mountain run at the 2015 Rollerski World Championships in Val di Fiemme . In the 2015/16 season he made it into the points twice in the World Cup. His best placement was 17th place over 15 km classic in Toblach . At the Nordic Opening in Ruka at the beginning of the 2015/16 season he came 59th. In the 2016/17 season he finished 64th in the World Cup mini tour in Lillehammer and 39th in the Tour de Ski 2016/17 . At the end of the season he won the mini tour in Seefeld in Tyrol and the overall ranking in the Alpine Cup. He also took two wins in the Alpine Cup and came in second and third. The following season he finished 77th in the Ruka Triple and 44th in the World Cup finals in Falun. He also won the sprint in the Alpine Cup in Campra and finished second in Prémanon over 15 km classic. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 26th in the sprint, 19th in the 50km mass start race and seventh in the relay.
